Urban forest with a tree house

Walk to the Savinja embankment and the famous Splavar statue and cross the Splavar bridge. In no time you will find yourself in the City Park and the Celje City Forest in the shade of tall trees. Where once the counts of Celje traveled from the Old Castle to the city, today there are seven adventure-recreational routes and one educational-experiential route.

Where once stood a modest tree observatory, today the largest magical tree house in Slovenia stands among the canopies of the Celje city forest. It takes your breath away with its modern appearance, and because it is entirely made of local wood, it blends in beautifully with the wooded surroundings. It is open for visits by individuals and groups, but it is most often visited by families, school groups or tourists who want a unique experience in nature. The experience is also complemented by events that often take place in the house and its surroundings - workshops, concerts, poetry evenings and much more.

Foresters, biologists, ecologists, artists and architects have awarded it numerous awards, as it successfully connects many different worlds. The fun doesn't stop on the solid ground around the treehouse, either. Sitting on the bench, you can enjoy the fresh air, while the experiences from the treehouse are etched in your memory. The more active can use up excess energy on the trim track, while the youngest adventurers can continue the outdoor fun on the children's playground.
